In 500 hours around the world

On October 1st, 2014, the Russian competitive autostop athlete and president of the PASL (St. Petersburg Autostop League) Alexej Vorov started his "A Very Small Planet Tour". His route went from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok, from Seattle to New York and from Madrid back to St. Petersburg - one time around the planet.

18900 km autostop in 500 hours. Is that really possible?

Yes, it is. On October 20th, at 23:00 (local time), Alexej arrived with a truck in St. Petersburg, his hometown. His Russian club colleagues and friends were awaiting him at the finish line.

On behalf of the DTSG, we hereby send our warmest congratulations and all our respect for this great accomplishment. Keep the thumbs up, Alexej!
